LG TV Remote 2011 App Reviews

I was told in store I could use it to turn my iPhone into a remote for my LG Smart TV Upgrader box. The online PDF says it will connect my iPhone to the ST600 Smart TV Upgrader box. Its only meant for TVs with the smart technology built in already. its the same technology and software in both. I called and emailed but they dont care. Very disappointed!!!!!! That blows!!!

WHY IS THERE NO QWERTY KEYBOARD YET ON THIS THING??!!!:

This app adds nothing new to using your remote control. Add a QWERTY keyboard, and it has a function.

I install the app & paired to my 55LW5600 without a glitch. The only issues I have like the others is, in this app there is a lack of keyboard thats why only 4 stars. LG PLEASE ADD KEYBOARD FUNCTIONALITY. Cheers

Very disappointed with the lack of a qwerty keyboard on the LG remote, was told that this app would take care of that aspect so I got it only to discover they didnt include a keyboard control at all in the app? Lol am I missing something? That should have been the main feature! :-/

Right from the start I was VERY impressed. All apps should work this well, and I only had moderate expectations. Took longer than I thought for the tv to generate a pairing code, but once entered I loved it immediately. It would be nice to include a qwerty keyboard though. 5 stars!!!

I cant get it to work with the 55lw5700

This app was working great with my 55LW5700, but just updated the software on my tv to the newest version, and now it works like crap! When I press the home button it takes forever to load up and all of the smart tv functions work really slow overall. Fix this please!!

Trying to use with my 55lw5700 but It connected two times total & was basic but worked only 2 times out of the 10-15 times I tried! no qwerty kybd means not much use other than touchpad but since it never connects & I know many others are having same issue with lw5700 series! Update to connect & qwerty keyboard & Ill re download this app

Wish there was a qwerty keyboard too.. But beyond that works perfectly with my LV5400

My 55LW5600 is on LAN (not on wireless) trying to connect with the app on both iphone and andriod, neither can find the TV. therefore crappy app development.

Connected 1 time in 50+ attempts to my 55lw5700. Nice when working but impossible to predict when it may work. Avoid at all costs!!!

I couldnt get this app to work until I made my wireless network visible and made sure it connected to the same wireless router the TV was connected to. I have a wireless router and access point and the app wouldnt work when connected to the AP. Now it works great. There is a QWERTY keyboard, it only shows up when you need to input text.

Connected once but when i updated TV and Router, pffff dead... There is no documentation at all to troubleshoot connection issues. And No Keyboard at all! For some reason I cant connect to the TV. Im sure it should be a simple setting in my router but there is nothing out there to help out. Keyboard which Is a no brainer is not include in the app... How does that make sense LG??? Simple fixes can make this an amazing app allowing LG to compete against other manufacturers smart TVs... But For now its just a broken toy...

its all good but wheres the power button ? you can close the tv but you cant open it? stupid...

It worked fine but now it dont see the same tv with same phone, although both connect to the Internet using same wireless router. Hoping a fix is coming soon!

I got this app hoping it would make it easier to use my smart tv, but it will not connect, it shows a loading box in the corner when I start the app but then it disappears and it wont connect

Love it, its great but it needs a keyboard! 10 star rating if you get a keyboard!

The app was working well. I update to the new release and now I cant get any of the LG apps to work with my TV. :(

PLEASE INCLUDE FULL KEYS FUNCTIONALITY for easier typing. still feels like im using the LG remote
